“I
know your deeds, that you are neither cold
nor hot. I wish you were either one or
the other! So, because you are lukewarm,
neither cold nor hot, I am about to spit
you out of my mouth.
Revelation
3:15-16
As
the youth and children’s department
of Charis Life Church we are aiming to provide
everything of Acts 2 radical and biblical
Church for youth and children, so that they
can be empowered and inspired to be different
and make a difference in our nation.
Dream
1000
Wouldn’t
it be amazing to have a youth and children’s
work in the UK of 1000? The dream of those
involved in the children’s and youth
department of Charis Life Church is that
we could have that here in Clifton. There
are over 2000 youth in Clifton district alone
and that doesn’t even include the children.
We believe God wants to see them come to
know him and therefore we have a vision to
build a youth and children’s work in
Clifton of 1000. God can do it through us
and in our lifetime...
... God has promised us that
He
will provide for us with buildings, people
and equipment “I gave you land you
had not worked for, and I gave you cities
you did not build-the cities in which you
are now living. I gave you vineyards and
olive groves for food, though you did not
plant them. So honour the Lord and serve
him wholeheartedly….serve the Lord
alone”
Joshua
24:13-14
He
will give us all the leaders we need “Day
after day more men joined David until he
had a great army, like the army of God.”
1 Chronicles
12:22
God
has sent others to help us “The
authorities are sent by God to help you.”
Romans
13:4
Why
are we working with children and youth?
a:
Because
they are important to Jesus and so they are important
to us;
“But
Jesus called the children to him and
said, "Let the little children come
to me, and do not hinder them, for the
kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
b:
Because
they are ready to learn;
“Train a child
in the way he should go, and when he is old he will
not turn from it.”
Proverbs
22:6
c:
Because
we can learn from them;
“I tell you
the truth, anyone who will not receive
the kingdom of God like a little child
will never enter it."
Mark
10:15
d:
Because
we want to welcome Christ into our Church;
"Whoever welcomes one of these little
children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me
but the one who sent me."
Mark
9:37
e:
Because
we are investing in the future; The church of tomorrow
as well as the church of today.
